Push The Frequency is dedicated to creating and delivering elevated electronic and bespoke music. Making records that are proud to be different, using tried and tested methods and unconventional production techniques.

We pride ourselves on really understanding electronic music and how to integrate it with various styles from Alternative Pop to Nuclear Techno.

Phil Joannides (composer/producer/mastering engineer) has been working in professional music for over 15 years and has contributed to thousands of records. His work has been released on record labels PIAS, Kscope, Believe, Universal, Sony, Traum Schallplatten, Sound Avenue, West One Music, Perfecto/Armada, Cavendish Music and Felt Music. He has been employed by Metropolis Mastering and has worked at Air Studios and The Church before creating Push The Frequency and holding residence at The Park Studios, London for a nearly decade. Phil has engineered music for artists such as Mark Ronson, The Clash, Kylie, The Anchoress, Fyfe, Robin Schultz, Oliver Schories, James Yuill, Lisa Canny and The Pearl Harts. 

In recent years he has added more skills to his set by composing and producing music for TV and Film gaining usage on major productions for Netflix, Prime, BBC, Sky and Channel 4. Also placements and bespoke compositions in advertising campaigns for Apple, Buxton Water and Hewlett Packard. He has also composed original sound tracks for the gaming sector including Star Fighter: Infinity (Steam).

Our work has manifested itself far and wide in many different formats. We have kept true to our efforts of doing things differently and we are honoured to be trusted by many artists from all over the world to create music everyday.
